Today we will teach you how to make Masala Dosa (Masala Dosa Recipe). Dosa is a popular dish in South Indian, it is a very tasty dish which you can eat anytime. It is also very easy to make. This is a dish that is eaten with great fervor not only in India but all over the world. Although many types of dosas are made, but masala dosa and plain dosa are most liked.
Masala Dosa Ingredients :
- 2 cups (lightly boiled) rice
- 1/2 cup washed urad
- 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 2 tsp salt
- Oil to cook dosa
To make masala:
- 500 grams boiled, chopped potatoes
- 1 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 6-7 curry leaves
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup water
Method to make Masala Dosa :
- First of all wash the rice and soak it in a vessel, then soak fenugreek seeds and lentils in another vessel for 5 to 6 hours or overnight.
- Now grind the lentils smoothly. Then after this grind the rice and make the batter.
- Now add water and salt to it and make the batter a little thin. Then keep it like this overnight to ferment.
- Now if the batter seems thick, then add some water to make it thin. Now heat the pan and apply oil on it with the help of a brush. Then when it is completely hot, sprinkle some water on it and immediately spread the batter on it, give it a
- round shape.
- Now after spreading the dosa, slow down the flame and put some oil on the edges so that the dosa gets cooked well.
- Then when the edges start becoming light brown, remove the dosa with a thin ladle. And place the stuffing in the middle of the dosa and fold it.
- Now serve with sambhar and chutney.
To make masala filling:
- First of all heat the pan and add onion, mustard seeds, green chillies and curry leaves and then fry on high flame till the onion is cooked.
- Now add turmeric and salt and mix well.
- Now mix the potatoes well and then add some water and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
