Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift haven’t spent time together at as many Kansas City Chiefs games this season compared to last year.
These two are the significant others of the team’s top stars, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, respectively.
This apparent separation came after the two appeared to support different candidates in this year’s presidential election. Mahomes liked a post from Donald Trump on Instagram and wrote multiple messages about his critics, while Swift openly supported Kamala Harris.
But all seems well between the two.
According to multiple outlets, Patrick and Brittany recently attended an Eras Tour-themed party hosted by Swift, and the quarterback wore a tuxedo that Kelce wore onstage at one of the shows. Patrick’s wife wore a sparkly silver dress.
Brittany uploaded event photos, some with Swift, and captioned them simply, “My people” with a heart emoji.
After the Chiefs’ season opener, Patrick, Brittany, Kelce, and Swift attended the men’s U.S. Open finals.
And Swift stood or sat in the same suite with Brittany for nearly every Chiefs game last year. However, this year, Swift was only seen with Mahomes at games twice — on Oct. 7 against the Saints and on Nov. 4 against the Buccaneers.
The two made headlines at the Chiefs’ first game against the Ravens when they sat in separate suites to start the season. The two were seated separately after Brittany publicly liked a post by Trump on Instagram. Swift’s social media fan base was partly responsible for distributing screenshots of Brittany’s like of Trump’s post.
Trump also contributed to the controversy after Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Sept. 10. In an interview, Trump said he likes Brittany “a lot better” than Swift.
