Chicken Biryani Recipe – A step-by-step guide to the best rice dish ever

Today we have brought for you the recipe of making Chicken Biryani. Biryani is a famous dish made with veg and non-veg along with Basmati rice. Biryani is liked everywhere in the world.

 Chicken Biryani Ingredients

  • Rice – 500 grams,
  • Chicken – 750 grams,
  • Curd – 150 grams,
  • Ghee – 1/2 cup,
  • Onion – 03 (medium size),
  • Tomatoes – 04 (medium size),
  • Garlic paste – 02 tablespoons,
  • Ginger paste – 02 tablespoons,
  • Biryani masala – 45 grams,
  • Kewra water – 01 tablespoon,
  • Coriander leaves – 01 bunch,
  • Edible color – 01 pinch,
  • Mint – 1/2 bunch (finely chopped),
  • Salt – according to taste.

How To Make Chicken Biryani

To prepare chicken biryani, first wash the rice and soak it for 10 minutes and wash and clean the chicken thoroughly.

Now wash the onion and tomato and chop them separately. Also wash coriander and mint and chop them separately.

Heat ghee in a pan. When the ghee is hot, add chopped onion and fry it till it turns golden. After this, add chicken pieces and fry for 5-10 minutes while stirring.

Add chopped tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, curd, biryani masala and a little salt in the pan and stir well. Turn the flame on medium and cook all the ingredients for 10-12 minutes. Turn off the gas when the chicken pieces become soft.

Now take 2-3 liters of water in a separate pan, add rice and salt as per taste and boil it. When 1/2 of the rice is cooked, turn off the gas and separate the water of the rice.

Now heat a pan on the gas on low flame. When the pan is hot, put layers of rice and chicken curry in it. First some rice, then curry, then rice again curry.

Keep sprinkling food colour, green coriander, mint and kewda dissolved in 1/2 cup water on each layer. Now cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes. After this turn off the gas.

Your delicious Chicken Biryani is ready. Serve it hot and enjoy with the whole family.
