Palak Paneer Recipe/ Easy Palak Paneer/ Paneer Recipes

Palak Paneer Recipe | Restaurant Style Palak Paneer Recipe How to Make | Palak Paneer Recipe is a vegetarian Punjabi dish where paneer is combined with some vegetable. Palak Paneer recipe is very tasty and easy to make. You can make this dish on any special occasion. So, let’s start making Palak Paneer.

Ingredients for Palak Paneer :

  • Spinach – 500 grams
  • Paneer – 300 grams (Cut paneer into 1 inch square pieces)
  • Paste – Tomatoes (3-4), Green Chillies (1) and Ginger – 1 inch long piece
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – 1-2 pinches
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder – less than 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt – less than 1 teaspoon or as per taste
  • Gram flour – 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala – less than 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves – 1-2 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Cream – for garnishing

How to make Palak Paneer :

  • Break the stems of spinach and remove them, wash the leaves thoroughly twice and dry them in a sieve.
  • Put spinach and 1 tablespoon water in a vessel. Cover it and boil it on low flame for 5 minutes. After this, let it coo
  • After the spinach cools down, put it in a mixer jar and grind it.
  • You can add paneer to the gravy either fried or unfried (heat a non-stick pan to fry paneer, add a little oil and put the paneer pieces on the pan and fry till they turn light brown on both sides)
  • Heat 1.5 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds in the hot oil. After roasting the cumin seeds, add turmeric powder, coriander powder and gram flour and fry a little. Add tomato, ginger, green chilli paste to this masala and mix. Also add red chilli powder and fry the masala until oil starts appearing on top. It takes 5 minutes to roast the masala.
  • After the masala is roasted, add ground spinach and 2 to 3 spoons of water and mix. Also add salt, garam masala and mix everything well.
  • After the vegetable boils, add the paneer pieces, cover and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.
  • The spinach paneer vegetable is ready. Add green coriander to the spinach paneer vegetable and mix. Take out the spinach paneer vegetable in a bowl. Garnish the vegetable by adding 1 spoon of cream on it. Serve and eat with chapati, naan, paratha or rice.
